so sleepy...

we had breakfast with Santa last week.

we tried to get a picture with all the grandkids.

Logan made it great through this picture...

then while waiting in line again to just get his picture

he fell asleep and did not want to wake up.

not even for Santa

so cute!

want to hear a funny story...

so i was going out today

as i was putting Logan in my car i had my cell phone in my hand and i could't hold it so i set it on top of my car

i am sure you are thinking why would you do that!

yes what you are thinking happened!

i drove off with it on my car!

i realized it when i was still in my neighboorhood so i stopped and looked all over up and down the street.

then i gave up and left.

on my way home i thought i would look again.

so i did.

no luck.

after i pulled into my driveway i thought i would look closer to my house

i found it!

it was in the gutter by my driveway.

i somehow did not run it over!

it's a bit scratched from the fall but its still alive and not squished!

yay!

and this is my story.

i think i am losing my mind :)

growing up so fast...

i can't believe...

Logan is already 8 weeks old today!

one more week and he will be two months old.

he is growing up way too fast!!

(i will post some pictures hopefully later today, i am on a different computer and don't have any on this one. sorry.)

things i have learned in 8 weeks:

* i love being a mom

* logan is the cutest little guy in the world

* it takes a long time to recover from:

17 hours of labor, 4 hours of pushing and finanly a c-section (and maybe i am just a baby)

* waking up in the middle of the night to feed is not as hard as i thought it would be

ok, maybe sometimes it is

* never wear anything nice, it will get puked on

*logan likes to throw up alot

* cloth diapers are great for burp cloths

* you can never have too many blankets

* Logan could wear newborn clothes much longer then i thought

* hearing him "coo" as they call it is the cutest sound ever

*i can't get enought of his little smiles

* i still can't swaddle him very well

* barkley is a concerned dog, kitty doesn't like his sounds and lucy and bella could care less

* having poop run down your leg is quite gross

* always have a change of clothes in the diaper bag

for me and logan

*having logan here is much better than being pregnant

p.s. hang in there kim you will make it!

*logan likes music (from his swing, not me singing )

* i know why my ribs hurt before, he likes to kick...hard

* i have only been peed on a few times

* he wasn't a fan of the bath at first, now he is getting better

* i've see my mom and dad more in 8 weeks than i use to

(i think they just missed me...)

* logan is noisy, but i like his little noises

*sometimes he makes a sound like a dolphin

* he likes to cuddle

* bill says logan liks to watch football

i'm sure there are more but thats all i can think of right now

can't wait to see what 8 more weeks brings!

finally!!!

after what seemed like the longest day of my life

(maybe cuz it really was)

Logan Thomas FINALLY came
he was born August 6th at 12:54 am
8lbs 2oz and 21 inches long

even though it took him 41 weeks and 2 days to get here he was definitely worth the wait
and i have loved every minute he has been here!!

the little picture is of bill when he was a baby

negative one...

not kidding...

so if pregnancy last 40 weeks

why am i at 41 weeks!?!

at least i know i will get to meet this little guy on thursday!
